Transferable skills

IMG_0441
My friend asked me to do the flowers for her son’s wedding and I am delighted to be playing my part on this very important day!

This has been a long time in the planning. The sense of achievement will be immense but how am I going to do all of this?

11 bridesmaid’s hand-tied bouquets

14 table decorations

9 button Holes

4 corsages

3 headbands…………and breathe…..  phewwwwwww!

The time factors are crucial; making sure that everything arrives on time and is in the right place. The brief then needs to be carried out to the bride’s wishes.

I suppose it’s pretty much the same thing as I do every day of the week really. We really don’t realise how many transferable skills we all have, right in the palm of our hands.

At VPA we can turn our hands to most things. Our skill set fits most of our client’s requirements and if we don’t know something we will always find out and certainly try to help.

The cake!
